Biography

Megan Jones, MSN-Ed, BSN, RN, is a Pennsylvania native and graduate of the University of Scranton, where she earned her BSN in 2010. Her clinical career includes experience in progressive care at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, emergency nursing at Duke University
Hospital, and endoscopy at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Inspired by her own experiences as a nursing student and her passion for mentoring future nurses, Jones earned her MSN in Nursing Education from Drexel University in 2021. Since transitioning to academia, she has taught in clinical, laboratory, and classroom settings, with a focus on building student confidence, clinical judgment, and compassionate, patient-centered care. She also contributed to the growth and accreditation of an accelerated practical nursing program, strengthening her commitment to collaboration, quality improvement, and student-centered education.

Jones is excited to join Temple University and contribute her clinical experience and passion for nursing education to the next generation of nurses. Outside of nursing and academia, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest accomplishment is raising her three children.
