Biography
Eve Walters, Ph.D., E.I.T., is an environmental engineer and educator in Temple University's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the Technische Universität München and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College. She teaches across the engineering curriculum, from the first-year sequence through upper-division and graduate courses in environmental chemistry, life cycle assessment, contaminant dynamics, and stormwater management. Her teaching emphasizes mastery-based "grading for growth" (feedback, revision, and student agency) to build confidence and persistence in large gateway courses. Her engineering-education scholarship focuses on first-year programs, inclusive assessment, and student success, and she presents regularly at the ASEE and First-Year Engineering Experience (FYEE) conferences.
