Biography

Caitlyn Foy earned her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh, her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Temple University, and her Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Temple University.

Dr. Foy spent 15 years with the Main Line Health system, working primarily in an inpatient rehabilitation facility as well as in acute care hospitals. Early in her career, she volunteered at an inpatient mental health hospital and served as a preceptor for occupational therapy students. She also contributed to the profession through her involvement with the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association (POTA), serving on the District V Board in multiple roles during the first decade of her career.

With 15 years of experience in academia, Dr. Foy has taught occupational therapy students across a range of programs, including the Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant, entry-level Master’s, entry-level Doctorate, and Post-Professional Doctorate levels.

Her areas of scholarship are focused on interprofessional education and practice, vision rehabilitation, teaching and learning in higher education, and maternal health.
